I finished at 2 a.m., but the hat is ready. My husband's best friend at Christmas had given me some yarn, super 100% cachemere, asking me to make him a hat. I had answered, of course, a pleasure...but then with all the job and family engagements the yarn remained in the "things to do basket".
Yesterday, in the early afternoon. my husband called me telling me that his best friend and her deliciuos wife would be coming the day after for dinner, we hadn't seen each other in such a long time...I brought the project to the SnB meeting in the evening and then I finished it at home...but the hat will be the star of the evening...

romanzi e maglia - novels and knitting

In the past months I've found out how to live my two passions, reading and knitting. When I started reading the novel "Divas don't Stitch" by Gil McNeil, a new world has openend up to me: a story about the knitting and yarn passion, the life of a mother with two sons and her job. As soon as I had finished it, I ordered from amazon uk the second part "Needles and Pearls" and I read it during a weekend. Now I am waiting for the third volume...great, I can't wait. In the meantime I have discovered an american writer, Kate Jacobs, and her novels "The Friday Night Knitting Club" (I believe it is the only one that has been translated in Italian), and "Knit Two" (I am reading right night the last pages).

un nuovo progetto - a new project

I have been working on this project for a while, but it was one of the many. I have finished it and, since it is still winter cold, I can still wear the hat and the shawl. I love to use different types of wool to create fiber effects ...and lately I feel like using lace stichtes everywhere...

Primo post - first post

Here I am with my first trial post.
I love to knit. I think of thousands of projects and I wish I had four hands to work the double. I love to create the design while I work...
